simple Enough to Stick with It

Strength training doesn't have to be complicated. Cardio doesn't have to take forever. Use sports science instead of guesswork.

  • Strength made simple
Train any lift across 4 compound movements. Let the algorithm guide your ideal weights, sets and reps.
  • Cardio made simple
Use breathing Gears instead of confusing HR zones to build cardiovascular base in Zone 2 and your Vo2Max.
  • Autoregulate with RPE
Use RPE to tell the algorithm how your body responds to weights and cardio intensity to adjust your next session.
  • Track what matters
Track weekly loads and times, 60-day progress and your nervous system load to know if you are ovetraining, detraining or progressing.
  • Boost your training
Simple tips to make the most of your efforts. You may not see people doing them, but the science says they work.

FAQ

Who is the app for?
+

Kickass Training is for everyday athletes (think the rest of us) aimig to build muscle mass, strength and explosive power along with improving their cardiovascular health and endurance.

Strength training is designed for higher intensity, lower reps training protocols.
Cardio training aims at time volume and intensity - not just getting a sweat.

You’ll need to kick ass to get the benefits.

How to use the app?
+

Strength training centers around 4 compound movements (hip hinge, squat, pull and push) within which you can choose any free weight, machine or explosive exercise.

Cardio training builds your aerobic base with Zone 2 lower intensity sessions in breathing Gear 2, coupled with higher intensity Vo2Max interval sessions in breathing Gear 4. In either training you can add few all-out sprints in breathing Gear 5 to tap your maximum hearth rate.

At bare minimum, you only need 1 strength training session and 120 minutes of cardio work per week to reap the benefits of a complete, balanced program.

The app includes info dialogs explaining every key term (like RPE), plus a Learn section to dive deeper into how and why to train strength and cardio — based on real sports science.

How the 10-day trial works?
+

After signup you get 10 days free to try the app with full functionality to make sure it fits your training needs.

After 10 trial days, you can choose:

- Monthly fee for $9.99
- Yearly fee $49.99 (with Family Sharing for up to 6 other users)

Both subscriptions unlock the full app and algorithm — with no limitations.

If you don’t subscribe, you’ll still have access to the app, but you won’t be able to log new exercises.
